When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.

WWE News: Randy Orton Set to Get Big Push Upon His Return

Randy Orton has been a hot topic in wrestling since he was slapped with a 60-day suspension. However, despite his issues with the wellness policy, it has been reported on Wrestlezone (via The Wrestling Observer) that Orton's star has not faded in WWE's eyes:
Despite speculation that he would be demoted following his 60 day suspension, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Randy Orton is expected to be pushed back into the main event picture in WWE when he returns, as the company doesn't feel Sheamus is strong enough yet to carry the Smackdown brand as the top baby face.

Three Reasons Randy Orton Must Return to WWE as a Heel: Fan's Take

When Randy Orton was turned face, virtually every wrestling fan I know was shocked and disappointed. Of all the known entities that the WWE had going for them, Randy "The Viper" Orton was the most natural and comfortable in his role. Nobody questioned the evil behind Orton and his character. In fact, many thought that Orton was in line to be the greatest heel of all time when all was said and done. He carried the WWE Championship like a twenty year veteran would. Then, the WWE messed around with something that simply wasn't broken. Now, Randy Orton is serving a suspension for a wellness policy violation. As a huge wrestling fan, I am pleading with the WWE to bring him back as a heel. Here are three good reasons why:
Randy Orton will draw main event heat
The tension that would fill an arena when Orton came out to defend his WWE Championship back then was unlike anything going in the WWE today. C.M. Punk is approaching that type of excitement, but even he is not quite there yet. He needs that horrible heel to battle against. Randy Orton is that ultimate heel.
Randy Orton has a built in story
Randy Orton has history with Vince McMahon and the entire family. Now they have suspended him. Randy Orton could return as the crazed Orton from before and nobody would question it for a second. Though it might be a bit politically incorrect to use a serious issue like that as fodder, the WWE has done much worse in the past. This would be but a tiny transgression.
The Good Guy Problem is Over
While the WWE has certainly had a shortage of good guys in recent years, that could change dramatically if they play their cards right. Already, they have Sheamus and C.M. Punk as face superstars as well as the seemingly timeless John Cena. In addition to these guys, you have several superstars on the verge of main event stardom that would benefit greatly from a face turn. Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, Justin Gabriel and even Daniel Bryan would all benefit from a change. Dolph Ziggler in particular is ready to be a face and would be an incredible feud with Orton if the set-up was done right.
The bottom line for Randy Orton and his return is that he is a born heel. The guy was made to play a bad guy, just like his father before him. If the WWE wants to return Orton to his former glory, then they simply must return him to his character roots. Let him be who he really is once again.
Let him be the best bad guy in the business.
*Southern is a huge WWE fan that believes they could improve a great deal by looking back at the old NWA ways of doing things.
